Restorative Cladding Cleaning
Over time, cladding systems are subjected to atmospheric pollution, biological growth, and UV degradation — leaving facades looking tired, stained, and faded. GB Group’s restorative cladding-cleaning service is designed to reverse this deterioration and restore building envelopes to their original appearance, without the cost of replacement.
Using specialist chemical systems, we deliver a tailored two or three-stage treatment programme, determined by the condition of the surface, the nature of the soiling, and the extent of any colour fading. Each stage is carefully sequenced to maximise treatment effectiveness while protecting the integrity of the cladding substrate.
Stage 1 — Deep Clean A targeted biocidal and degreasing wash is applied to break down and remove ingrained dirt, atmospheric deposits, mould, algae, and organic growth. Dwell times are controlled to ensure thorough penetration without risk to the substrate or surrounding finishes.
Stage 2 — Stain & Residue Treatment (where required). For more heavily soiled or stained surfaces, a secondary chemical application addresses persistent marks, oxidation, and residual contamination that a standard clean alone would not resolve.
Stage 3 — Colour Restoration (where required). Where UV exposure or weathering has caused significant fading or chalking, a restorative coating or sealant treatment is applied to revive the original colour and provide a protective barrier against future degradation.
All works are delivered by IRATA-trained rope access operatives, IPAF-trained platform operatives or straight from scaffolding, allowing us to work safely and efficiently at height across any building geometry — from low-rise commercial units to complex high-rise façades — with minimal disruption to occupants and the surrounding environment.
The result is a façade that looks professionally restored, with extended service life and a fraction of the environmental and financial impact of cladding replacement.
